Living Bristol by Keepin’ It Local
by Cate Murway

Wait…wait…don’t be “MALLed".

Small businesses maintain a sense of community and local character, while proudly offering the best value for your time and money.
Independent local businesses employed an array of supporting services when they hired architects, designers, cabinet shops, sign makers and contractors for their construction. Local accountants, insurance brokers, computer consultants, attorneys, and advertising agencies help run them. The local retailers also carry a higher percentage of locally-produced goods, meaning more jobs for local producers. This is simply good, efficient business.

The remarkable history of Bristol Borough, the picturesque scenery and the elegant restaurants that overlook water are all wonderful, but it’s the people who make it special.
So, shop on “Friendly” Mill Street, Market Street and Radcliffe Street.  Then enjoy a terrific lunch or dinner in a romantic setting with wonderful ambiance in historic Bristol on the Delaware.
These are just some of the businesses that define a sense of place. Their survival depends on your patronage.

Kelch House

The businesses will be catering especially to HIM but women are also invited to attend.

Local vendors, Mignoni Jewelry & Gifts, Spice & Co. and Jo Marie’s Boutique will display gifts ranging from $5.00 to $5,000. Ladies, fill out a personalized “Wish List” at your favorite shops and give it to your husband, boyfriend, father, or brother.
Boots and selections from area electronic and cell phone businesses will also be available.

The perfect gift choices will be made complete with professional gift wrapping by Terry Carroll and Ro Mignoni. Monies charged for wrapping will be donated to Bristol Borough Community Action Group, Inc. on Wood Street for food vouchers.
Drink and appetizer specials make the shopping a real treat. No reservation necessary.
